Marin "Families Belong Together Vigil"

In protest of the Trump Administration's cruel and inhumane policy of separating children from their parents at the border, the Marin community will gather for a vigil on World Refugee Day, this Wednesday, June 20th at 6:30 PM.

LOCATION:  The vigil will be held on the lawn area in front of the Civic Center Post Office at 2 Civic Center Drive in San Rafael. The lawn area is on N. San Pedro Road between Civic Center Drive and Golf Avenue. There are parking lots available behind the Marin County Civic Center and next to the lagoon on the east side of Civic Center Drive between N. San Pedro Road and the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium. There is some street parking available as well.

Please gather with us to join our voices in protest and song. We will hear from public officials, community leaders, and affected residents, and learn about opportunities for action. Please brings signs if desired. Flameless candles will be provided to all participants.

The event is free but please RSVP here for headcount purposes.

The vigil has been organized by local groups concerned about the administration’s immigration policies, including Indivisible Marin, Indivisible Sausalito, Marin Country People Power, Novato Stands United, REsisters and SURJ Marin. We know and appreciate that you will all join us in support of this effort. For more information, please contact

Please come to demonstrate your opposition to this horrific new policy. Bring your families and tell your friends. Together we can bring an end to this practice that violates American values.
