LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS:

FILM SCREENING & DISCUSSION

Thursday, November 15 | 7 pm

MV Community Center

How can we stop the hate together and create a culture of inclusion in our community?

Join concerned community members for a film screening, community discussion, and introduction to Not in Our Town (NIOT). Featuring NIOT founder and filmmaker Patrice O'Neill, community discussion, and next steps.

Light in the Darkness is a one-hour documentary about a town coming together to take action after anti-immigrant violence devastates the community. In 2008, a series of attacks against Latino residents of Patchogue, New York culminate with the murder of Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant who had lived in the Long Island village for 13 year.
