WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK

Our monthly network meeting Sun., Jan. 8 was FANTASTIC! Despite a gale storm, local flooding and a power outage at the MV Community Center, 140+ old and new members attended. The meeting featured inspiring speakers, team meetings, sign painting, action items, strategizing, and networking time. A representative from Rep. Jared Huffman’s office addressed the group. Attendees included Marin County Supervisor Kate Sears and multiple representatives from allied grassroots organizations. Look for a story about the meeting in next Sunday’s Marin I.J.

MVCAN was an early supporter of Rep. Jared Huffman's decision to boycott the Inaugural. Our Leadership Team met with his district director on Jan 4 to show the Congressman that he had strong constituent support for the boycott. Read about it in the IJhttp://www.marinij.com/article/NO/20170109/NEWS/170109817. We are so proud of his righteous stand!
