MVCAN Endorses Three Candidates

for Mill Valley City Council

We would like to thank all five candidates for Mill Valley City Council for participating in the Candidate Forum we held during MVCAN's recent monthly meeting, and for helping it be a great success.

At the forum, we focused on issues that are often neglected, but that have a great impact on our community locally and regionally, such as:

  • Taking positions on Regional, State and National Issues

  • Taxation Policy

  • Climate Change

  • Affordable and Workforce Housing

After the candidate forum, we reviewed the written responses of four of the five candidates to our questionnaire and their statements during the forum, to determine if we could identify up to three candidates who reflect MVCAN values and are suitable for our endorsement. We asked Sashi McEntee for her answers, but as of this posting, she has not complied.

All five candidates presented well. We are pleased to report that on the basis of the written and spoken responses, it is clear that three candidates best reflect MVCAN’s values and approach to these issues, and in our judgment are the best candidates for these positions. The Mill Valley Community Action Network endorses the candidacies of: Urban Carmel, Kirk Knauer and Max Perrey.

Please review the candidates’ questionnaires for details of their positions on these issues:
