Immigrant Day 2017

Travel to Sacramento with Canal Alliance Executive Director, Omar Carrera, on Monday, May 15th for Immigrant Day 2017, when representatives from across Marin will join hundreds of immigrant rights leaders in Sacramento to demand full protection for immigrants, champion the rights of the community, and celebrate immigrants as part of the fabric of California.

With thanks to the Buck Family Fund of the Marin Community Foundation for providing scholarship funding to the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC), we have secured transportation to and from the Capitol. 

The bus will pick up at the following locations and times and the order of the day's events will be as follows:

6:15 am       Lindaro & 3rd Street in San Rafael (next to Marin Beverage Outlet).
                    *Parking in the metered structure between Lootens and A Street only is advised. $.75/ hour*
6:30 am       Smith Ranch Road Park & Ride, 2 Smith Ranch Rd, San Rafael
8:00 am       Arrive at the Capitol and Check In
9:00 am       Interfaith Ceremony
9:30 am       Unity Rally on the North Steps
11:00 am     Morning Legislative Visits
12:00 pm     Lunch (Provided) and Entertainment
1:00 pm       Afternoon Legislative Visits
4:00 pm       End of the Day, Bus Departs to San Rafael
6:00 pm       Return to Smith Ranch Park & Ride and Downtown San Rafael. 

Canal Alliance t-shirts and water bottles will be provided to all participants!
