JOIN US FOR SPECIAL PHONE BANKING ZOOM CALL ON ABORTION RIGHTS - Wednesday, June 22, 5pm (PT)

Join us to hear the President of the National Institute For Reproductive Health talk about the status of abortion rights.

Ms Miller spoke to a MVCAN meeting a few years ago - she was terrific - so don’t miss this opportunity!

Andrea Miller, President of NIRH

Join the Bay Area Coalition on June 22 to hear from Andrea Miller, the President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health. NIRH is an advocacy group that works to create change from the ground up, working directly with state and local reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations to protect and advance access to reproductive healthcare.

With the Supreme Court set to overturn Roe v. Wade in June, this is the time to hear from this passionate, articulate speaker about the upcoming Supreme Court decision and our next steps.

On Wed, June 22 (after we hear from Andrea at 5pm) we will be taking action to call voters in Nevada where we need to hold a critical Senate seat and a Governorship. The Democratic incumbents who hold these offices, Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto (D-NV) and NV Governor Steve Sisolak, are running in toss-up races! We need to gain 2 more Senate seats and especially not lose Catherine Cortez-Masto, an inspiring Senator.

Please register below to hear Andrea.

JOIN US: AIRLIFT “LIVE FROM THE FRONTLINES” for an Expert Panel including JACKIE PAYNE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF GALVANIZE ACTION Tuesday, July 12 - 5pm (PT)

Jackie Payne, Executive Director of GALvanize Action

GALvanize Action is on a mission to persuade rural women to "vote their values" -- which are often at odds with those of their Fox-watching husbands.

Jackie has deep experience in reproductive and human rights, including having been Director of Government Relations for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Policy Attorney for the National Organization of Women.

Jackie will share GALvanize Action’s application of communications and behavioral research to develop messages that move rural women who are ambivalent about abortion to support Reproductive Choice. We'll also hear from other grassroots AIRLIFT partners about how they work with great care in shaping their communications around reproductive rights.

Our partner grassroots groups in Pennsylvania and North Carolina face similar challenges. We'll hear from them about how they too work with great care in shaping their communications around reproductive rights and what messaging they regard as important to winning this year’s mid-terms.

Jackie Payne, Executive Director of GALvanize Action
will lead a panel with

Cara Santor, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Stands Up
Gwen Frisbee-Fulton, Executive Director, Down Home North Carolina

WRITE POSTCARDS TO PENNSYLVANIA AND ARIZONA

If Roe vs. Wade is overturned, other fundamental rights will likely be targeted: access to contraception; same-sex marriage; marriage equality; immigration, and more. However, the attack on Roe vs Wade has the potential to rouse apathetic voters who didn't believe that such efforts would ever succeed. For this reason, we believe now is the time to register potential voters in the hopes of turning out the vote in the midterms.

As we have in recent months, we will continue reaching unregistered (but likely Democratic) voters in key battleground states with the help of Field Team 6. Our current focus is PA and AZ. We've updated our scripts to reflect how Democrats are fighting for reproductive rights.

Postcards to Pennsylvania Voters:

Our wonderful postcard writers have been working hard these past few months to reach likely Democratic voters in the key state of Pennsylvania.

Democrats badly need to win this Pennsylvania Senate seat to either hold or expand the Senate majority.

Postcards to Arizona:

In our Arizona campaign, we'll be reaching out to voters in a purple district in hopes of flipping it blue.

Arizona was a key battleground state in the 2020 elections, helping push Biden to victory. That was just the second time since 1948 that the state voted to put a Democrat in the White House, and it was the first time Arizona has had two Democratic Senators since 1952.

Thank you in advance for putting in the work now at a time when the future of our democracy is truly at stake. Together, we can make a difference!

To get voter addresses and scripts for postcarding, contact: politicalbobh@gmail.com.

When contacting Bob (politicalbobh@gmail.com) to request names, please let him know if you have a preference for either campaign: Pennsylvania or Arizona. Also, let him know how many names and addresses you'd like.
