AIRLIFT IS READY TO TAKE OFF!
Only 1% of the billions spent in politics goes to the thing that we know actually has the highest impact: long-term local organizing by trusted organizations. AIRLIFT is an online small donor platform that gives Democrats and progressives across the country a way to funnel their political giving to some heroic groups that have been carefully vetted. Find out more at http://airlift.fund.
HERE ARE THE TOP FIVE WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
- Post about AIRLIFT on your Facebook page.

WE’RE GIVING BIRTH—GET READY TO PUSH!
[That's my subject line and this is the email I’m sending right now to the 200 friends I forgot I had until I went through all of my Google contacts. An interesting exercise! Go for it. You probably have more friends than you thought too]. Danny
Dear Tom--
Today my local 1,000 member strong resistance group (links to mvcan.org) is launching AIRLIFT to start a national revolt against all the “sky is falling” fundraising emails from the out of touch people who currently run the Democratic party.
Only 1% of the billions spent in politics goes to the thing that we know actually has the highest impact: long-term local organizing.
If you want to shift your money to some carefully vetted, heroic groups working on the ground in 2018 battleground districts, AIRLIFT is a good way to do it.
That’s where the pushing comes in!
We need your help to get out of the chute. Get the word out to every sentient human being on your facebook page or in your address book that there is a DONOR REVOLT in the Democratic party.
Where to find AIRLIFT:
web: http://airlift.fund
So tell your Facebook friends (or real friends) about AIRLIFT. And why it’s important to take our financial power back.
And thanks a million. Which, by the way, is our first goal.
Yours in practical protest,
Danny Altman
P.S. Feel free to steal this letter.
P.P.S. A little birdie told us that Huffington Post will drop a story on AIRLIFT at 6:30am west coast time!

ROCK THE CONGRESS Conference Enormous Success!
MVCAN Members at ROCK THE CONGRESS Catch a quick break during the intensive schedule
This past Saturday, MVCAN was proud to be part of the coalition sponsoring a day-long conference dedicated to winning back Congress and forwarding a progressive agenda. More than 300 activists from all over Northern California, including more than 20 MVCAN members, participated in workshops on political organizing and panels about building effective Blue to Red action coalitions. We networked with our remote partners in flippable districts, like the wonderful, "on-fire" activists we met from the CD-10 (Modesto), so we can all work together seamlessly toward next November. Kudos to all the organizers!! This will be the first of multiple" RTC" conferences- so stay tuned if you missed it!
MVCAN MEETING NOTES
Matt Singer started the Oregon Bus project, forerunner of the automatic voter registration movement
THE MVCAN MONTHLY MEETING last Sunday featured special guest Matt Singer, director of Movement Voter Project. Matt is the Economic Action team's special advisor for AIRLIFT. More than 60 attendees heard Matt talk about the critical role of grass-roots political groups outside of the Democratic party and campaigns. He said they play a crucial role in mobilizing voters and winning elections up and down the ballot.
